.1.INTRODUCTION. Christmas
Christmas is the most light and revered holiday in Russia. Our family has a tradition to celebrate this holiday. But I'm interested in the traditions of England. I was especially interested in the celebration of Christmas in this country, because it is unusual and not at all like the Christmascelebration in Russia. In my work I try to look at the history of this holiday in the two countries, as well as how this festival is celebrated to this day.
The goal of my work is to analyze characteristics of Christmas celebrations in Russia and England, to conclude the similarities and differences in the traditions of the two countries.
Оbjectives:
-examine the availableliterature on the celebration of Christmas in England;
-to analyze the features of the celebration of Christmas in the cultures of Russia and England, highlight the similarities and differences;
-by means of questionnaires to identify students' opinions about the holiday;
- To make the findings of this study.
